Whole Grain Hard White Winter Wheat

We produce Heyne, a variety of white wheat named after Carl Heyne, a long time wheat breeder at Kansas State University. Heyne always provides us with plump, uniform berries of grain and a rich lightly golden color. It is high in protein, in addition to its excellent milling and baking quality.
White Wheat has less tannin, the compound that gives Hard Red Wheat its color and traditional whole wheat taste. Many consumers describe the taste of white wheat products as sweeter, lighter, milder, or more palatable.
Many consumers grind their own flour at home and also have their own favorite recipes for cracked wheat and hot cereal.
We recommend consumers refrigerate or freeze their whole grain wheat at home to maintain freshness. Available in bulk up to 50# bags or will fill customer's container on request.
An audit trail provides information for safety and quality assurance. The lot # is a unique code utilizing date and field number.

Every 50# bag of whole grain has the audit trail info provided. Typical process information includes; harvest, storage, transportation, cleaning, bagging, and delivery.
